American Legion Legacy Run Home
Detailed Route Plan

Registration is open at www.legion.org/riders.

•Aug. 20 – Assembly for The American Legion Legacy Run Home at American Legion Post 1451, Sanborn, NY (near Niagara Falls).

• Aug. 21: Depart Post 1451 for Nagara Falls State Park. 45 minutes on Goat Island for photo shoot of the Legacy Run Home with Niagara Falls in background. Depart for gas stop and lunch at American Legion Post 535 in Salamanca, NY. Continue on to Vermillion, OH and end of day dinner event at Vermillion American Legion Post 397.

• Aug. 22– Depart from Post 397 for lunch event and tribute at the ALR Founding Chapter at Garden City Michigan Post 396. Continue through Michigan countryside to end of day dinner event at American Legion Post 157, Quincy, Michigan and hotels in Coldwater, Michigan.

• Aug. 23 – Depart Coldwater, Michigan for Indianapolis, Indiana, with refueling stop in Warren, Indiana. Arrive mid-afternoon at Speedway Post 500. Marshall into a large formation and conduct, under police escort, movement to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and a lap of the famous Indianapolis 500 racetrack.

For more information visit www.legion.org/riders. Registration is $50 for riders, and $25 for passengers. Expo registration alone is $25. The National Convention Parade is open to all ALR members free of charge.

First Annual South Carolina Statewide Legacy Run a success!Little River, SC
The American Legion Riders of South Carolina (ALRSC) planned and executed the first annual Statewide Legacy Run from April 13-15, 2012. From Columbia to Rock Hill to North Augusta to Myrtle Beach, the more than 100 assembled riders rode more than 600 miles and raised more than $15,000 for The American Legion Legacy Fund. In Hemingway, SC, Senator Yancey McGill personally presented the assembled Riders a Concurrent Resolution from the South Carolina General Assembly commending the South Carolina American Legion Riders for their conduct. As a commemoration of the event, ALRSC also donated a large SC Legacy Run patch to the Emil Blackmore Museum at the American Legion national headquarters in Indianapolis, IN.

The American Legion Riders Expo
August 23-25, 2012
Take a lap with us on The Indianapolis Motor Speedway!
The American Legion Riders Expo,
Aug. 23-25, will feature range skills and classroom training, Rider program development, motorcycle challenge courses and Motorcycle Safety Foundation exhibitions. Stout Army Air Field and the Joint Forces Headquarters of the Indiana National Guard will provide two hangers, parking, range areas and classrooms to host the events.
The Expo begins with the arrival of The Commander's Ride from Niagara Falls on the afternoon of August 23 at Speedway Post 500. READ MORE.

Expo Calendar:
August 23
2:00 p.m. (tentative) Afternoon arrival of The American Legion Legacy Run Home. Marshalling of bikes with Expo attendees at Post 500, Speedway, Indiana.
3:00 p.m. (tentative) Lap of the famous Indianpolis Motor Speedway. There will be a charge of $5.00 per rider.
August 24-25
Expo activities begin at Stout Army Airfield, Indianapolis.

Annual Rib Feed: Saturday, Feb 25, we are holding our annual Rib Feed. If you have never been before, I can assure you, these are not your little baby backs. The day will start at 1pm with a horseshoe tournament. Sign up in the bar and teams will be picked out of a hat. After dinner, which will start around 5pm, we have Karaoke planned.
